Purple Power Protein Smoothie

  • 2 Scoops of chocolate or vanilla protein powder
  • 1 C. Frozen blueberries
  • 1 C. Fresh Spinach or Kale (or a mixture of both if your feeling wild!)
  • 1/2 C. Ice
  • 3/4 C. of Water

Blend all ingredients til smooth!



Green Smoothie Experiment




 I’ve always dreamed of opening a juice and smoothie bar on the coast. In order to make this happen one day, I thought I better start making up some of my own smoothie recipes, so I can have some originals! I had a non-green smoothie drinker give me reviews on whether they were even edible! I figured the harshest critic could help improve the recipe so anyone would want to try it.

The ingredients are simple and relatively cheap!


1/2 C Coconut water

1 C frozen fruit (mango, pineapple, strawberry)

1/4 C Greek yogurt Vanilla

1/2 Banana

2 C Mixed spinach and kale

Yeah, I’ve been there, and that’s why I’m here to help you feel healthier and go on more adventures even if you’ve never taken a walk longer than to your mailbox, without breaking the bank. You’ll find recipes, workout advice, and simple ways to get outdoors and moving, before you know it you’ll be itching to climb a mountain!

I love green juice, smoothies, hiking, and I pretend to love running. I am not expert in anything, but I know a lot of random information that I want to share, mostly about becoming healthier from the inside out. I know that just putting in a little effort and trying to become a better version of yourself will make you so much happier in everything you do, and you can use that newfound happiness to help and inspire those around you.

My main goal in life is to help others feel good about themselves, which is where I find the most joy. A few years ago I had a friend that felt sick all the time and overlooked by most people, she wanted to live a healthier life, but felt too overwhelmed and didn’t know where to start. I was able to help her find simple ways to improve her health, this in turn made her feel so much better about herself.

Don’t Be Afraid of the Green Juice


My green juice overfloweth! I got a little out of control this morning with my juice! I hated wasting the green goodness! (Recipe below)

The latest craze…JUICE…I know it can sound and look scary, but once you have your first drink, you won’t believe 1. How delicious it is! And 2. How energized your body feels after just one glass! This is my favorite juice to start beginners on, they are always hesitant to taste it, but are 99% of the time pleasantly surprised that they like it. Now, this does require a juicer, and yes they can be expensive, but I have two really nice juicers a Breville and a Jack Lalanne power juicer, I got both of these at a Goodwill for less than $10. If you don’t want to invest in a juicer just yet, you can use a blender to simply blend all the ingredients, it will definitely be a different consistency than the juice, and honestly probably be harder to drink if you are new to all this, but will still make you feel just as healthy!

Simple Recipe

1 cucumber

2 green apples (seeds removed)

1” Ginger

4 Stalks of celery

½ Lemon peeled

1 C. Kale
